My Lord Marquess, I transmit to Your Lordship herewith The King*s Ratifications in respect of the United Kingdom and the Dominion of New Zealand of the convention signed at Washington on the 27th May, 1936 between His Majesty in respect of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Commonwealth of Australia and the Dominion of New Zealand on the one hand, and the president of the United States of America on the other amending the Convention of the 2nd March, 1899, concerning the Disposal of Real and Personal Property; and I request that you will exchange His Majesty's Ratifications against a similar Instrument on the part of the President of the United States of America, in accordance with the provisions of Article 2 of the said Convention* 2. When completed, the British copy of the Certificate of Exchange should be forwarded to this office, together with the United states Instruments of Ratification. 3. I concur generally in the drafts, enclosed in the ^7 1^1^ letter of the 8th November from the Chancery of His Majesty's Embassy, of the draft Protocol of Exchange of ratifications and of the notes to be exchanged at the same time. Certain minor amendments of a formal nature have, however, been incorporated in the revised drafts which are transmitted herewith. 4. The British copy of the Protocol of Exchange should be forwarded to me in due course, together with the United States Instrument of Ratification, the original of the United States/ •J s.
