the 30th June, 1937, I aa directed by Lord Stanley to
transmit, for the consideration.of the Committee of
Imperial Defence, the accompanying copy of a despatch
from the Governor-General of New Zealand, on the subject
of the strategic importance of the Pacific Islands.
