Dear Shannon,
We should be grateful if you would be good
enough to arrange for the enclosed copy (No.27) of a
memorandum (C.U.S.832) by the Chiefs of Staff, on the
question of New Zealand Co-operation in Imperial Defence,
to be handed to Sir Harry ,-uke on his arrival in New
Zealand to attend the Conference on matters concerning
the Pacific Islands.
It was felt safer to send this document
direct to New Zealand than to send it to Fiji and to
risk its arrival there after his departure.
