INTER-DEPARTMENTAL COMMITTEE QN
INTERNATIONAL AIR COMMUNICATIONS.
Proposed Conference on matters con-
cerning the pacific Islands between
H.M, Governments in the United Kingdom!
Australia and New Zealand.
With reference to I.A.C. 510, it will be remem-
bered that at the 64th Meeting of the Committee (Item 3)
it was recommended that a sub-committee, consisting of
representatives of the interested departments and
Imperial Airways, should consider the questions raised
in that paper.   A sub-committee was accordingly formed and
held a Meeting at the Air Ministry on the 7th February.
The record of that Meeting, including an aide memoire by
the Foreign Office, \is attached for the information of
the Committee.
With the consent of the Chairman it has been agreed
to regard the recommendations of the sub-committee as
recommendations of the main committee. These
recommendations having been endorsed by the Departments
concerned, are being communicated to the United Kingdom
representativesat the Conference.
