Conference*      His Majesty*s Government in New Zealand
have today sent following reply to His Majesty's
Government in the Commonwealth of Australia:- Begins*
Our understanding is that Item WJ" of
proposed agenda is one which His Majesty's Government
in the United Kingdom particularly wish to discuss as
do His Majesty's Government in New Zealand.* Indeed
out opinion is that discussion of thi:; subject is
desiirable even if (which we hope will not he the case)
the Australian Government consider it impossible to join
in discussions¦   We should therefore propose retention
of Item on the Agenda subject to right of the Australian
Delegation to dissociate themselves from this subject.
