Defence Conference cannot it now seems meet before 11th
April, and it cannot yet "be definitely stated that it will
start on that date.
I understand from the High Commissioner for the United
Kingdom in New Zealand that a vessel from Fiji is due in
New Zealand on April 2nd*   This v/ould appear to give you the
opportunity if you wish to do so to visit Sydney but I presume
that it would toe too late for the purpose indicated in your
telegram.     The High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in
New Zealand is being informed that he should set into touch
with you in regard to documents for tho Conference which can
either be despatched   to Siiva by mail due 24th March or
retained until your arrival en passage for Nigeria, Understand
that New Zealand Government also have documents for youc
