O.D.C. Minute Wo. 343.
All the Departments concerned have now
concurred generally in the terms of our draft telegram
to Fiji, concerning which you wrote to me in your letter
092/2018 (H.0.2.) of the 4th July*     The draft has been
amended to incorporate minor additions, deletions or
alterations suggested by Departments:   and a copy of the
telegram as sent is "being communicated to you officially.
May I take it that you will keep us informed
of the position as regards the enquiries which are being
made as to the dates etc. by which the equipment
required for the proposed fixed defences at Suva would
be available, so that we can keep the Governor posted?
