His Majesty*8 Ambassador presents his
compliments to the Secretary of State and, on
instructions from His Majesty's Principal
Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has the
honour to inform Mr. Hall that the contents of
the Department of State*a memorandum of the 16th
August , regarding the status of certain islands
in the Pacific Ocean, are being considered, and
that a reply will he returned to the memorandum
as soon as war conditions permit and consultations
with His Majesty's Governments in the Dominions
concerned, and with the High Gommi s si oner for
the Western Pacific are completed.
