JOINT RESOLUTION
for acquisitibn of British islands in the Caribbean and British

2 of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 Thai tin- President is hereby requested to enter into negotia-
4 tions in such manner as he may deem appropriate, with the
5 Government of Great Britain for the acquisition by the
6 United States of the islands of the Bermudas; the Bahamas—
7 Jamaica with the Turks, Caicos, and Cayman Islands; Trini-
8 dad and Tobago; Barbados; the Leeward Islands—Antigua,
9 Saint  Kilts.   Nevis,   Dominica.   Montserrat,   and Virgin
10 Islands; the Windward Islands—Grenada, The Grenadines,
11 Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent; together with British Hon-
12 duras, in part payment for the indebtedness of such govern-
13 ment to the United States.
