TRANSMITTING
A TREATY BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE
DOMINION OF NEW ZEALAND SIGNED AT WASHINGTON, SEP-
TEMBER G, 1940, AMENDING IN THEIR APPLICATION TO NEW
ZEALAND, CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE TREATY FOR THE
ADVANCEMENT OF PEACE BETWEEN THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA AND GREAT BRITAIN, SIGNED AT WASHINGTON,
SEPTEMBER 15, 1914
September 13, 1940.—Treaty was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Foreign Relations and together with the message and the accom-
panying papers was ordered to be printed in confidence for the use of the
Senate

To the Senate of the United Slates:
To the end that I may receive the advice and consent of the Senate
to ratification, I transmit herewith a treaty between the United
States of America and the Dominion of New Zealand signed at
Washington, September 6, 1940, amending in their application to
New Zealand certain provisions of the Treaty for the Advancement
of Peace between the United States of America and Great Britain,
signed at Washington, September 15, 1914.
I transmit also for the information of the Senate a report by the
Secretary of State regarding the treaty.
