IS Facilities: U.S. Army 195V / 9 AO Decenber 23rdf 1940 Dear Mr. Under Secretary, I am glad to be able to tell you, with reference to my letter of December 19th, that we have just had a telegram from London saying th8t the British authorities gladly accede to the request of the War Department to make flights for the yurpoee of aerial photography over Jamaica, the Bahamas, Newfoundland, Bermuda and Trinidad. They ask however that ample advance notice be given to the Governors of the territories concerned and that appropriate steps be taken to ensure the security of a]1 the photographs that are taken.
