DEPARTMENT OF STATE WASHINGTON March 29. 1941 I have the honor to refer to your Embassy's note 2- no. 32 of January 20, 1941 regarding a "secret" note dated December 20, 1940 addressed to the American Embassy in London by the Foreign Office on the subject of the opening of a further account with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in the name of His Britannic Majesty's Government. I am now in receipt of a communication dated March 20, 1941 from the Secretary of the Treasury stating that the Federal Reserve Bank of New York has now opened, in the name of the British Government, a further account designated "His Britannic Majesty's Government Special Account B."
