which you were sooci enough to enclose for my informa-
tion a copy of the reply you had received from your
Government in response to the statements I made to
you in our conversation of June 26 about Iceland,
I have taken pleasure in communicating the con-
tents of your letter and the enclosure to the Presi-

and to the Chief of Naval Operations.
