I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of Your
Excellency's note no. 378 of June 18, 1941, In which you
Inform me that you have received the King's Instrument
of ratification of the treaty which was signed at Wash-
ington on September 6, 1940, amending in its application
to the Dominion of New Zealand the Treaty for the Advance-
ment of Peace between the United States and Great Britain,
signed at Washington September 15, 1914, and that you
are prepared to proceed to the exchange of that instrument
for the ratification of the President.
The Australian Minister and the Canadian Charge d'Affairee
ad Interim have likewise informed me of their readiness to
proceed to the exchangee of ratifications of the similar
treaties signed at Washington September 6, 1940, in respect
of

I am happy to Inform you that I shall be glad to
receive you to effect the exchange of ratifications on next
Wednesday morning, August 13th, at eleven o'clock if that
day and hour be convenient.to you.
Appointments are being made with the Australian Minister
and the Canadian Charge* d1Affaires ad interim to exchange
ratifications of the treaties with His Majesty in respect
of Australia and Canada at the same time.
