Sir,
With, reference to your despatch No. 331
(A 2598/102/U5) of the 19th May, I have the
honour to inform you that on the 13*h August, I
handed to the secretary of State The King's
Ratification of the Treaty "between New Zealand
and the United States, signed at Washington on
the 6th September, 19U0, amending the Treaty
for the Advancement of Peace "between the United
States and the United Kingdom of the 15th Sepjemher,
19 1U» and reoeived in exchange the Ratification
of txie President of the United States.     I enclose
the latter instrument herewith together with the
British copy of the Protocol of Exchange.
2. Ratifications were also exchanged at the
same time "between Mr. Hull on the one hand and the
Australian Minister and Canadian Charge d?Affairee
on the other of the similar treaties signed on the
6th of September, 19U0, "between the United States
and the Commonwealth of Australia and the Dominion
of Canada.
