A« 11 (RAF XEPHONE HOBART 1340 BOX 772 BENJAMIN FRANKLIN STATION Washington. D. C. ROYAL AIR FORCE DELEGATION (BRITISH AIR COMMISSION) YOUR REF: OUR REF: 10th November, 1941. Dear Hayter, lean assure you that the qflway proposals have not been overlooked. I mentioned the subject at the meeting of the Clement-Jones Sub-Committee in London, and suggested that a non-technical section of the C.T.C. might well be formed to take advantage of such offers. The possibilities of utilising a non-skilled section of the C.T.C, is under examination by the Defense Departments, and the Ministry of Labour (Markham) also agreed to investigate the possibilities of employment in other spheres. It was generally agreed that it would be wasteful to employ the Qflway people in ordinary unskilled jobs, and the Ministry of Labour propose to^£onsider whether it is possible to train them for employment more compatible with/potential capacity. Yours sincerely, H.G.Hayter, Esq., British Embassy, Massachusetts Avenue, Washington, D.C. W^G-ClUBBErr.
