My dear Ambassador,
I have the honour to inform you that the New Zealand
Government have agreed to the terms of the proposed Joint Declaration,
submitted to them by cable, and I have been instructed to sign the
Declaration on behalf of my Government,     The text of the reply is as
follows:
"His Majesty's Government in New Zealand are in cordial agreement
with the terms of the proposed pact which you are accordingly
authorised to sign on behalf of this Dominion".
I shall be glad if you will inform me when it will be
convenient for my signature to be attached to the document.
