Abstract
Professor Michael Birnhack, University of Tel Aviv. Visiting Professorial Fellow at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. As our lives go digital, there is a growing awareness that our privacy is eroding. New technologies, practices of data aggregating and data-mining, social networks, globalisation and public interests of national security and public order -- all challenge our privacy. The ongoing discussion about the essence of privacy reaches a boiling point. This talk will discuss the continuous search for a theory of privacy.
