Interview with Mr Donald COBBETT. Born 6 September 1911. Educated at the Oratory School. Became a member of the Stock Exchange in 1947. Joined Fergusson & Bousfield (c.1933), a small firm of industrial jobbers and then moved to a succession of broking firms while also writing for 'Financial World', 'Stock Exchange Gazette', 'Investors Chronicle', 'Evening News' and the 'Sunday Telegraph'. Resigned from broking in 1975 to concentrate on journalism. Wrote 'Before the Big Bang'.
