Abstract
Interview with Mr David Hugh Laing HOPKINSON. Born 14 August 1926. Educated at Wellington College and Merton College, Oxford. Served in the Royal Navy during the War. On return was awarded a 'war' degree from the House of Commons. He was a clerk at the House of Commons, 1948-60. Joined Flemings as a Fund Manager. Subsequently moved to M&G where he spent 15 years running its investment business and 9 years running the entire group.
