Interview with Mr Edward Brian CARPENTER. Born 29 July 1926, Sutton, Surrey. Educated at Epsom College. Joined navy at 18. Obtained degree in motor engineering and worked in a Rolls Bentley garage for 4 years. Joined C.D. Clark in 1957. Was made a partner, and became a member of the Stock Exchange, in 1962. Firm closed in 1966. Joined James Case, initially as a jobber in the food market. Firm merged with Akroyd & Smithers in 1968. Date of recording: 17 October 1990.
