Abstract
Andy Reid is a former Local Authority Adviser and former member of the National Curriculum Council History Task Group. He discusses his early career, teaching history in a Norfolk secondary modern school, then his work in Norfolk and Staffordshire as a history adviser. He talks about the advent of GCSE and the National Curriculum, including his role as a member of the History Task Group.
