Abstract
Lake El Dorado's tannin-rich waters are a huge mirror in the heart of the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve, in Loreto, Peru. Over 2 million hectares, the Reserve protects a unique system of lakes, rivers and floodable forests at the source of the great Amazonas.
