Abstract
This LLM dissertation examines the development of Chinese Securities Regulation, looking in particular at the impact of the 2015-2016 Chinese Stock market crash. The author explains the theory of the securities regulation and the history of Chinese securities regulation; outlines paths for stock financing; describes how those agencies tried to avoid regulation and discusses the legal, technical and market supporting of stock leverage financing. Further discussion examines the legal foundation and the regulatory logic of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) and gives some suggestions to improve the current Chinese regulatory framework.
