Citation: BARKER, Paul 4 Songs Between Words (from the set of 48).
Abstract
Songs Between Words was begun in 2003. All are a cappella and without text. the 48 songs deliberately imply character and situation dramatically, but in an 'open text' methodology borrowed from drama (Friel), allowing or demanding a creative approach from the performer which may exceed the traditional song. this realisation of a selection by a German company used performers across many disciplines to reinvent the context of the songs.
