Abstract
Dialogue in response to Sir Hugh Macdonnell's 'Remarks of the River Plate Republics as a Field for British Emigration', which discourages British emigration to the Argentine Republic and the Rio de la Plata. García presents the advantages and successes of British immigration to the region, particularly in terms of commerce and industry such as farming, banking, railroads and mining. Also contains extracts of a report by Secretary Wileken, published in the 'Buenos Ayres Standard', 30 January 1873
