Abstract
Examination of conscience on the duties of kingship, translated to serve as an aid to the governments of the Rio de la Plata, with an introduction by the translator and chapters on the instruction necessary for a prince, examples of how a prince should treat his subjects, and of how justice should prevail in all acts of the government. Followed by 'Suplemento al examen de conciencia', with chapters on the necessity of forming alliances, both offensive and defensive, against foreign powers who aspire to become universal monarchs, and the fundamental principles of a prudent government
