Abstract
Description of a prize-giving ceremony on 25 December 1836 from a non-governmental 'tribunal de Señoras', who judge annually the merit of children in various public education establishments and reward those who have most distinguished themselves. Signed 'Unas madres de familia', dated Mercedes, 10 January 1837, and followed by 'Estrofas, Compuestas para cantarse en la reparticion de premios á la escuela de niñas de la Villa de Mercedes'
