Abstract
Response to 'El indio constitucional', which urges indigenous populations and Creoles alike to support the Spanish Constitution and its attendant freedoms from tyranny, with a focus on the points raised by 'El indio constitucional', in particular the liberty of the press, openness in political debates, and restraint when dealing with questions of religion and morality.
