Abstract
Statement issued by Carlos Federico Lecor, Baron of Laguna and Lieutenant General of the Portuguese army in the Banda Oriental, stating that all Uruguayan chiefs and officials who voluntarily join Lecor's army will retain their salaries and benefits, that those who bring troops with them will receive additional rewards, and that soldiers who defect voluntarily to Lecor's army will receive a reward of four months' salary.
