Abstract
US press denunciation of the US-Japanese Treaty of Commerce and Navigation of 1911, however, a few papers are critical, including the New York Hearst, Journal of Commerce and Chicago Tribune. It also details the US administration seeking retalitory measures towards the Japanese regarding its act towards US missionaries in Japenese occupied China.
