Abstract
US Acting Secretary of State Welles stresses US trade rights in China, no evidence to suggest that the USG is willing to protect British interests in the Far East whilst it is at war in Europe, and treaty negotiations between the US Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Grew and the Japanese Foreign Office.
