Abstract
Senior US Department of State official, Robert Moore, detailing to the UK Embassy the US government procedures required in determining whether UK registered aircraft can claim customs exemption. He also discusses whether Imperial Airways is able to retrospectively claim back for 'free withdrawals' and duties paid on spare parts and other equipment bought in the US.
