Abstract
Bent notebook 10. The diary of Mabel Bent, in her own handwriting, in a black leatherette pocket-book. It covers the period of January-May 1890 and is published in Gerald Brisch (ed.) - World enough and time: the travel chronicles of Mrs. J. Theodore Bent. Volume I: Greece and the Levantine Littoral (Oxford : Archaeopress, 2006) pages 269-321.
Includes two newspaper cuttings: at the beginning, a poem by W. E. Henley (Where forlorn sunsets flare and fade) ; at the end, a review of H. F. Tozer's The islands of the Aegean, that mentions Theodore Bent's Cyclades. Also a leaf, said to be that of the mandragora plant.
