Abstract
Sessional debates in the Sala de Representantes, Buenos Aires, held in June 1852, concerning the Acuerdo de San Nicolás, a treaty signed on 31 May 1852 by all the provinces of the United Provinces of the Rio de la Plata, except Buenos Aires. The treaty aimed to create the basis for national organisation for the new Argentine state and to establish a national constitution, as well as naming Justo José de Urquiza as provisional Supreme Director of the Argentine Confederation. Includes the text of the agreement
