Abstract
Army Council discussions regarding the impact of war with Japan in China. It includes the Council's position on British nationals in China, the need to consult with teh French and American governments on this matter, withdrawal of French and British garrisons in Northern China in an event of war, request US protection of British nationals through internment, the British military have been directed to not offer resistance to Japanese aggression, and the conditions in which US actions could lead to an alliance with Britain in the war.
