Abstract
Apology for late notification of appointment of Duke of Windsor as Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Bahamas and for it being publicly announced by the BBC before the President could be informed. Lateness was due to original telegram being scrambled and requirement for clarification from the Foreign Office.
